Crew members from a pilot vessel rescued a man at about 0650 hours, about one mile southeast of Mullet Key, in Fort Desoto, in St. Petersburg, Florida according to the U.S. Coast Guard. He was clinging to buoy #23 near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Carnival Cruise Lines Inspiration - June 15, 2009
Larry Miller, 46, reported to the pilot boat crew that he went overboard from the cruise ship Carnival Inspiration at about 0400 hours, while the cruise ship was returning to the Port of Tampa.
Watchstanders at United States Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg received a report from the pilot vessel at about 0700 hours, stating that they had found Miller clinging to a buoy in the shipping channel.
The pilot vessel crew safely transported Miller to the Fort Desoto boat ramp, where EMS was waiting to take him to Bayfront Medical Center, in St. Petersburg.
Miller was said to have cuts on his arms he received from the barnacle-covered buoy. He was treated and released at the hospital.
Bayfront Medical Center is located at 701 6th St South, in St Petersburg, Florida they have a new maternity ward and are known for their cancer center.
Carnival Inspiration left Tampa, Florida on Thursday for a 4-night cruise to Grand Caymen in the Bahamas. The ship returned to Tampa about 0800 hours, not even knowing a passenger was missing.
