Cruise Ship Holiday Passenger Falls Gets Medical Evacuation
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) out of Mobile, Alabama along with a team of Mobile County EMS, transported a emale passenge who fell white aboard the cruise ship, receiving a head injury.
The accident took place whilte the cruise ship was in the Mobile Ship Channel, near Dauphin Island, Alabama.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a call at approximately 0040 hours from the captain of the Holiday reporting that a female passenger needed immediate medical attention due to a fall and stated that she had possible head trauma.
Sector Mobile launched a 41-foot rescue boat and crew from Station Dauphin Island and was accompanied by local EMS to assist. The passenger was then transported to the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
